Eicher’s VECV Joins Hands with Jio-bp Pulse to Expand EV Charging for Fleets

In a move that could transform India’s commercial vehicle sector, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV)—the joint venture of Volvo Group and Eicher Motors—has entered into a strategic partnership with Jio-bp Pulse, India’s largest public EV charging network.

The agreement focuses on strengthening nationwide charging infrastructure for Eicher’s electric trucks and buses, making fleet electrification more practical and profitable.

6,000+ Fast Chargers Now Accessible for Eicher EVs

The collaboration allows Eicher EV customers to access over 6,000 Jio-bp Pulse fast charging stations spread across highways, logistics hubs, and major Indian cities. This directly addresses one of the biggest challenges for EV adoption—reliable and widespread charging access.

First-of-its-Kind Integration with My Eicher App

A major highlight of this MoU is the integration of Jio-bp Pulse chargers into the My Eicher fleet management app.

Fleet operators will now get:

  • Real-time charger availability

  • Nearby charging locations

  • Digital route planning with charging support

This marks the first time in India that a commercial vehicle manufacturer has connected a public charging network directly with its fleet app.

Tailored Charging Solutions for Fleets

Beyond public charging, both companies will work on depot-level charging setups for large fleet operators and bus depots. Customized solutions such as overnight charging and high-capacity hubs will also be developed to support heavy commercial EV operations.

Leaders Speak

  • Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VECV, said this partnership is a big step toward removing range and charging concerns for fleet owners, making electric trucks and buses a more viable choice.

  • Sarthak Behuria, Chairman of Jio-bp, highlighted that the collaboration is aligned with India’s goal of rapid electrification in logistics and passenger transport, and Jio-bp is committed to powering that shift.
